Telugu Times 20th Anniversary Celebrations

Telugu Times, the first and only Global Telugu news publication, has been catering to the NR Telugu Community in the USA for the last 20 years. Marking the milestone, Telugu Times celebrated its 20th Anniversary at the grand Ugadi Fest by Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) at the India Community Center, Milpitas.

BATA’s Ugadi Mahotsavam was a day long event starting with a food festival and jewellery, clothing mela in the morning and culminataing into an entertaining evening of music, dance and youth talent. Dr T V Nagendra Prasad, Consul General of India at San Francisco, who was the Chief Guest for the event wished everyone a Happy Ugadi in Telugu.

Dr Prasad also unveiled the 20th anniversary special issue of Telugu Times in the presence of all the BATA dignitaries. Subba Row Chennuri, Editor & Managing Director – Telugu Times, thanked BATA for their continued association and friendship with Telugu Times over the last 20 years. BATA Advisor, Smt Vijaya Asuri mention praised Mr Subba Row Chennuri that running Telugu Times as a free magazine for 20 years is a diffcult task and is probably only possible because of his intention of proving a Telugu news platform for Telugu people. Finally Dr Nagendra Prasad and Mr Subba Row Chennuri concluded the celebrations by cutting a special cake.
