TAMA – TANA – Walgreens Free Flu Shots – Exemplary, Exceptional and Widely Received

Winter is always a challenging season when it comes to various types of Flu, which impacts Health and other aspects subsequently. Vaccination helps hospitals from being overwhelmed by flu patients. Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) in association with Telugu Association of North America (TANA) and Walgreens have conducted ‘Free Flu Shots drive’ on Saturday, October 7^th at TAMA office. Thanks to Georgians for the profuse response, around 100 people of all ages availed this opportunity, especially when Flu season is around.

Seasoned Pharmacists Mr. Mitesh Patel, Mr. Surya Vangapandu and Ms. Smruti Ghag made sure to provide vaccines to everyone patiently. Attendees were very appreciative of TAMA’s efforts in doing such need of the hour programs and said, they are not aware of any other Organization which takes up such initiatives, including TAMA Weekly Free Clinic, running for more than a decade, serving more than 10000 patients so far. TAMA has been doing many unique programs that are helpful to many in different ways. This is their 21st event in 2023, where health, social responsibility and youth are the priority, along with other arenas. TAMA team has taken registrations in advance and followed government guidelines in executing the drive. Snacks and Beverages were provided. TAMA President SaiRam Karumanchi, President Elect Suresh Bandaru, Chairman Subbarao Maddali, Suneetha Potnuru, Srinivas Ramisetty, Suneel Devarapalli, Srinivas Uppu, TANA RVP Madhu Yarlagadda, Srinivas Lavu, Vinay Maddineni, Kiran Gogineni, Bharath Maddineni and many young volunteers were part of making Flu Shots program an outstanding one.TAMA has done several drives like this for many years, along with multiple Covid Vaccination drives during pandemic. In his concluding remarks, Suresh said TAMA will continue doing these drives in coming years as well and thanked Mitesh, Surya, Smruti, Volunteers, TAMA & TANA teams for coming together and for being part of such a noble cause.
