Paatasala Annual day – 2024

Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) and Telugu Association of North America (TANA), conducted the 11th Annual Day (వసంతోత్సవం) celebrations of Paatasala. It was a huge success with over 500 guests (students and their parents, teachers & well-wishers) joining the program.

The 6 hours long program was a treat for all the guests with very attractive songs, poems, skits and speeches by organizers and distinguished guest. The auditorium was very well decorated with colored banners, flowers and other arts that created the festive atmosphere. All the guests and organizers wore Telugu/Indian traditional dresses.

Vijaya Aasuri (Advisor), Venkat Koganti (TANA Jt Secretary), Venkat Adusumilli (TANA RR Norther California), Prasad Mangina (Advisor), Subba Rao Chennuri (Paatasala Founder), Dr Ramesh Konda, Veeru Vuppala & Dr.Geeta Madhavi thanked all the students, and parents for attending the Paatasala annual day. The team thanked TANA & BATAexecutive teams for their support. They applauded the efforts of the teachers and coordinators and mentioned paatasala is growing every year and in bay area there more than 400 students. Paatasala highlights are curriculum was specifically created for the NRI kids and easy to learn. Further they said that the main objective of Paatasala program is to teach Telugu language & culture to the future generations.

The following skits were performed  సొగసరిఅత్త గడసరికోడలు (Skit), ఎందరో మహానుభావులు  (నాటిక), ఆంబ పలుకు .. జగదాంబ పలుకు,  “AvaDhanam” (అవధానం), మంత్రి యంపిక, మోహిని భస్మాసుర, Slokaalu/Padyaalu/Geyaalu were also performed. They were all very well received.

Paatasala Coordinators were available at the venue to provide clarifications to the questions or queries the prospective students/parents. Registration booth and special demo on E- Learning was also arranged. The attendee’s and their kids were excited & showed interest in joining Paatasala.

Most awaited moment of the program was the graduation walk. Teachers and students from each center took graduation walk onto the stage to receive their certificates. Entire guests were mesmerized to see the kids take graduation walk with the graduation music playing in the background. తెలుగు భాషా వికాస పోటీలు were conducted and trophies were given to the winners. Tara Krishnan (Santa Clara Borad of Education) attended as chief guest and congratulated Paatasala team for their efforts in teaching language to next generation Telugu kids.

During the program Kondal Rao (BATA President) expressed happiness and said BATA team is completely involved in the Paatasala Initiative and they will ensure it’s success. He introduced BATA executive committee consisting of: Siva Kada(Vice President), Varun Mukka (Secretary) & Hari Sannidhi (Jt.Secretary).

“Steering Committee” includes, Ravi Thiruveedula, Kamesh Malla, Sirisha Battula, Yashwant Kudaravali & Sumanth Pusuluri.

“Cultural Directors” include Sridevi Pasupuleti, Srilu Veligeti, and Taraka Deepti.

“Nominated Committee” Suresh Sivapuram, Ravi Pochiraju, Sandeep Kedarisetti.

Youth Committee –  Sanketh,Aditya, Gautami, Uday.

BATA “Advisory Board” Jayaram Komati, Vijaya Aasuri, Veeru Vuppala, Prasad Mangina, Karun Veligeti, Ramesh Konda, Kalyan Kattamuri & Harinath Chikoti congratulated the team in making the event a grand success.

TANA team member Srinivas Valluripalli  also attended the event.
