ATA of Greater Charlotte of North Carolina Women’ s Day

The American Telugu Association (ATA) of Greater Charlotte of North Carolina successfully organized International Women’s Day on March 26th at BridgeHampton Clubhouse. Nearly 200 Women attended the event. Women from all walks of life attended, including doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, homemakers, and technology professionals, participated in the event. 

The Program kicked off by host Anu Pannem garu and Mallika welcoming Ex. Mayor Jennifer Roberts, Dr. Shushma, Dr. Shoba, Dr. Suganya, and Dr. Shashi as chief guests to the program. The event followed by devotional song by Ranjitha very well received applause in the entire hall. Ex. Mayor Jennifer Roberts touched on different topics which connected very well with women’s and she thoroughly enjoyed the event, be it question and answers, be it judge for few competitions, be it dance and completely immersed in our culture. All other chief guests delivered wonderful speeches along with few health tips. 

The event also had lot of competitions in categories such as Fashion show, Fitness Steps, Dance, Quizzes etc along with Prize money. Charlotte ATA team also organized Throwball Event 2 weeks ago and winners have been awarded trophies and prize money on women’s day event. Finally event went to peak level when Tollywood singer Madhu Priya and Folk singer Ganga performed Medley and all ladies rocked the dance floor along with singers. 

Last but not least that this event was so successful because of great ATA team Regional Co-ordinator’s   Kranti Kumar Reddy Aella, Venkata Sabbasani, Siva Reddy Karmuru, and Standing Committee Shashi Reddy. Volunteers from Ballantyne Sports Club team, Achyuta, Sreekar, and Rajender.
