Hindu Vedic Temple of Virginia Announces Grand Sri Maha Sudarshana Narasimha Yaagam 2026
The Hindu Vedic Temple of Virginia, operating under the aegis of Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Seva Sannidhi, has formally announced its upcoming signature spiritual event, the Sri Maha Sudarshana Narasimha Yaagam (Yagnam) 2026. Aimed at fostering community welfare, spiritual purification, and inviting prosperity, this grand multi-day ceremony serves as a major milestone for the regional diaspora.
The core of the celebration will feature the Trayanhika Sapta-Vimshati Kundaatmaka Nakshatreshti Homam, a highly meticulous three-day ritual dedicated to the 27 Nakshatra Shanti. This sacred ceremony is specifically designed to invoke the protective blessings of Lord Sudarshana and Lord Narasimha—the fierce, protective incarnation of Lord Vishnu—to help devotees eliminate obstacles and experience deep spiritual empowerment.
Event Schedule and Venue Operations
The main rituals are scheduled to take place over a three-day window mid-summer:
Friday, July 31st, 2026
Saturday, August 1st, 2026
Sunday, August 2nd, 2026
To accommodate the elaborate sacrificial fires and large gathering of devotees, the temple has designated Acharya Farm, located at 22144 Sam Fred Road, Middleburg, VA 20117, as the official venue for the historic Homam. Ahead of the main three-day convention, the temple is also conducting daily Sudarshana Chakra Yantra Pujas up until July 31st to build spiritual momentum.
Remote Participation and Devotee Services
Recognizing that many members of the community may not be able to attend the physical location in Middleburg, the temple management has instituted a robust remote participation framework. Devotees from any location can participate remotely by contacting the temple administrative staff directly.
By calling the official contact lines, families can provide their specific Gotram and names to be formally included in the Sankalpam (sacred vow/invocation) during the daily and final offerings. For sponsorships, pooja registrations, or general operational inquiries, community members can reach the organizing committee through the following verified hotlines:
