World’s Biggest Festival Carnival “Vijayawada Utsav” Curtain Raiser Today

The grand cultural extravaganza “Vijayawada Utsav”, jointly organized by the Society for Vibrant Vijayawada, Shreyas Media, and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, will be held from September 22 to October 2. Showcasing Andhra Pradesh’s rich culture, traditions, art, and historical heritage, this festival is being positioned as the world’s biggest carnival.

The curtain-raiser event will take place today (September 7) at Murali Resorts, Poranki, Vijayawada, starting at 10 AM. Ministers Kandula Durgesh, Satyakumar Yadav, MPs Kesineni Shivanath and Sujana Chowdary, MLAs Gadde Ramamohan, Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao, Vasantha Krishna Prasad, Tangirala Soumya, Sriram Rajagopal, Kolikapudi Srinivas, along with Swachh Andhra Corporation Chairman Pattabhi, senior officials, and local leaders will attend.

For the first time, the entire city of Vijayawada is gearing up to transform into a hub of devotion, culture, tourism, and entertainment, celebrating a carnival of unprecedented scale. Organizers stated that the aim is to project Vijayawada as the cultural capital of South India during the Dasara festivities, while also elevating Andhra Pradesh onto the global stage. They added that Vijayawada Utsav is not just a festival, but the pride of the city “One City, One Celebration”.
