Why Kiran Abbavaram Turned Down Sambaraala Yettigattu
As Chennai Love Story gears up for its July 24 release, Kiran Abbavaram has been actively promoting the film. During a recent interview, the actor revealed that Sambaraala Yettigattu, which is now being made with Sai Durga Tej, was originally offered to him.
Kiran said director Rohith first narrated a small scale version of the story, and he encouraged the filmmaker to develop it into a bigger project. While the team initially planned to make the film together with producer Niranjan, the project’s scale and budget increased significantly during pre production.
The actor explained that after a series of setbacks at the box office, he felt taking on such a high budget film would be too risky for his market at the time. Despite the producer’s confidence, Kiran decided to step away in the best interest of the project. He added that he is happy the film is now being made with Sai Durgha Tej and believes director Rohith has the talent to deliver a big success. Produced by PrimeShow Entertainment, the pan India film stars Sai Durgha Tej and Aishwarya Lakshmi in the lead roles.
