Rebel Star Prabhas’ prestigious film The Raja Saab released in theatres yesterday (Friday) and has emerged as a blockbuster success. Directed by Maruthi, the film has been designed as an evergreen cinematic experience in the horror-fantasy genre. The movie has been produced on a grand global scale by passionate producers T. G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. Actresses Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar impressed audiences with their performances and screen presence. With the film running successfully with huge worldwide collections, the team conducted a King-Size Blockbuster Success Meet in Hyderabad today.
Riddhi Kumar said, “that audiences and fans are thoroughly enjoying The Raja Saab. She expressed happiness over the overwhelming love the film is receiving and mentioned that the team worked hard on the project for nearly three years. She added that seeing the audience appreciate their efforts feels truly rewarding. She thanked the audience for their support and said social media is filled with positive messages appreciating the film”.
Nidhhi Agerwal said,” The Raja Saab started its box-office journey with blockbuster openings and is being well received by audiences. She described it as a perfect family entertainer for the Sankranthi season and said the film can be enjoyed by children and families together. She highlighted that several sequences, including the crocodile episode and the climax, are receiving special appreciation. She also mentioned that theatres are echoing with chants of “Darling Darling” and expressed happiness over the film’s success.
Malavika Mohanan said, ”The Raja Saab is entertaining audiences while posting strong collections. She shared that her character Bhairavi is receiving a very positive response and that audiences are enjoying her action sequences on the big screen. She thanked director Maruthi for giving her such a strong role and appreciated producer T. G. Vishwa Prasad for backing the film with a big vision. Acting alongside Prabhas, she said, was a dream come true and expressed her wish to collaborate with him again in the future.
Producer T. G. Vishwa Prasad said,” team is extremely happy with the success of The Raja Saab. He revealed that while they expected the film to collect ₹100 crore worldwide on its first day, it exceeded expectations by collecting ₹112 crore worldwide on Day 1. He added that global collection figures are still coming in and that the official announcement will be made soon. He highlighted the strong response from kids and family audiences. He also revealed that certain four-minute old-look scenes of Prabhas could not be included initially due to technical reasons, but those scenes have now been sent to theatres. From now on, audiences will be able to watch Prabhas’ old-getup scenes in every show. He stated that despite mixed reactions from certain sections, the film is running successfully and is expected to continue its strong run during the Sankranthi season.
Director Maruthi said, “ Getting the opportunity to work with Prabhas is something he will always be grateful for. He shared that although he usually completes films within nine months, he spent nearly three years crafting The Raja Saab. He said he presented Prabhas exactly the way audiences wanted to see him and that many viewers appreciated the film for attempting something new, especially praising the forty-minute episode that has received worldwide appreciation. He explained that films with new concepts often take time to fully connect with audiences.
He added that based on feedback from fans, Prabhas’ old-getup scenes and an eight-minute rooftop fight sequence have been added from today evening’s shows. Portions that were perceived as lengthy have also been sharpened. From today’s evening shows onward, audiences will see what he described as the “real Raja Saab” on screen. He expressed confidence that fans will be satisfied and wished success to all films releasing during the Sankranthi season. He also revealed that several industry friends, including Allu Arjun, personally called to congratulate him.
