The Telugu Students’ Association (TSA), Delhi hosted a grand celebration of Bathukamma 2025 at the Ramjas College Grounds, University of Delhi, bringing together thousands of Telugu students and families to honour the vibrant floral festival of Telangana. Coinciding with the festive spirit of Dussehra, the event radiated joy, colour, and cultural pride across the city.

The celebration was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, who offered prayers and participated in the Bathukamma festivities, reflecting the inclusivity and unity of Delhi. Smt. Upasana Kamineni Konidela, entrepreneur and philanthropist, was the Guest of Honour.

Sharing the stage with the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Upasana Konidela lit the ceremonial lamp and delivered a heartfelt address, emphasizing the importance of preserving and celebrating Telugu traditions. She highlighted Bathukamma as a festival that symbolizes the strength, resilience, and creativity of women, perfectly aligning with the Dussehra spirit of triumph, joy, and cultural celebration.

Speaking at the event, Upasana Konidela said, ‘Bathukamma is not just a festival of flowers; it’s a celebration of the spirit of womanhood and community. It’s heartening to see Telugu culture thriving in the capital city, carried forward with pride by the youth here. It’s my privilege to stand alongside the Hon’ble CM Rekha Gupta Ji and other distinguished guests.’

She also thanked CM Rekha Gupta Ji for celebrating and spreading the Telangana culture to the rest of the country and embracing it with so much love and respect.

As Guest of Honour, Upasana was felicitated with a shawl and memento representing Telangana culture, acknowledging her role as a cultural ambassador and wellness advocate. Her presence resonated deeply with the 4,000+ students and attendees, who experienced immense pride seeing Telugu heritage celebrated at such scale in Delhi.

The event, organized under the leadership of TSA President Vivek Reddy and Advisor Karthik Reddy, featured vibrant cultural performances, traditional rituals, and the ceremonial puja to Bathukamma. The Dussehra timing amplified the festive fervour, making the celebration a joyful confluence of tradition, community, and cultural pride. With this celebration, TSA Delhi once again reinforced its mission of nurturing cultural pride, unity, and community bonding among Telugu students in the capital.
