Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons Replaced an Earlier Biopic, Reveals Venky Atluri
Director Venky Atluri has revealed that Vishwanath And Sons was never the original project he planned with Suriya. The filmmaker said he had first narrated a biopic, which the actor appreciated. However, the project could not move forward due to issues related to story rights and other production formalities.
Following that, the duo began discussing a fresh subject. Since Suriya had already completed two back to back biopics, he was keen to take up a completely different film. Venky then pitched an emotional family drama centered on the bond between a 40 year old man and a 20 year old girl. The concept impressed Suriya during the very first narration, and he immediately gave his approval.
That project eventually evolved into Vishwanath And Sons. The recently released teaser has received a positive response for its emotional family backdrop, with fans looking forward to seeing Suriya in a soft, performance-driven role once again.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments, Vishwanath And Sons is slated for a theatrical release on August 14.
