Superstar Rajinikanth Wraps Up ‘Jailer’, Begins Shooting for ‘Lal Salaam’

Chennai, India – The legendary actor Rajinikanth has completed shooting for his upcoming film ‘Jailer’ and waiting for its theatrical release on August 10. However, the superstar is already moving on to his next project.

According to sources, Rajinikanth is all set to start shooting for his portions in ‘Lal Salaam’ in Mumbai during the film’s second schedule. Produced by Lyca Productions, ‘Lal Salaam’ is being directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya and also stars Vikranth and Jeevitha Rajashekar, who will be making her big-screen comeback after 33 years.

Rajinikanth is said to be playing the role of a Muslim character, with Jeevitha portraying his sister. The movie will be a sports drama, with Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth playing cricketers. The film’s musical score is being composed by the legendary AR Rahman and it is scheduled to be released in 2023.

Apart from ‘Lal Salaam’, Rajinikanth also has ‘Thalaivar 170’ and ‘Lal Salaam’ in his line, while director Lokesh Kanagaraj is reportedly in talks for ‘Thalaivar 171’.
