Sonia Bansal Creates a Sensation at Cannes with Her Radha Rani-Inspired Look
Mumbai (Anil Bedag): At the prestigious 79th Cannes Film Festival, Bigg Boss 17 fame actress Sonia Bansal made a remarkable international debut, beautifully showcasing Indian culture on the global stage. More than just a red carpet appearance, Sonia’s look reflected a unique blend of spirituality, tradition, and modern fashion that instantly caught everyone’s attention.
Representing her upcoming environmental-themed film The Last Breath, Sonia turned heads in a pastel pink lehenga-saree fusion outfit designed by celebrated designer Dolly J. The ensemble featured delicate white floral embroidery, intricate gold detailing, and a sheer drape elegantly placed over her head, giving her a divine aura inspired by Radha Rani.
Emerald and uncut diamond jewellery, traditional bangles, soft alta on her hands, a tiny bindi, and a peacock feather in her hair added a striking touch of Indian mythology and heritage to her look.
Speaking about her Cannes debut, Sonia said that walking the red carpet for the first time felt like a dream come true, and she wanted to represent Indian culture with pride on an international platform. Interestingly, The Last Breath is not just a film but also highlights serious environmental issues such as deforestation. The film will also star Shiv Thakare alongside her.
