Santhana Prapthirasthu deals with a sensitive subject in an entertaining – Bobby Kolli
The film Santhana Prapthirasthu, starring Vikranth and Chandini Chowdary, is being produced by Madhura Entertainment and Nirvi Arts, with Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy as producers. The movie is directed by Sanjeev Reddy, with writer Sheikh Dawood G. providing the screenplay. The film is set for a grand theatrical release on the 14th of this month. On Monday evening, a grand pre-release event was held in Hyderabad. Directors Bobby, Sandeep Raj, Sailesh Kolanu, BVS Ravi, and producer Lagadapati Sridhar attended the event as chief guests.
Lyricist Balavardhan said, “I wrote the song Anukundokatile Ayyindokatile for this film, sung by Vennela Kishore. This is his debut song as a singer. Through its lyrics, I’ve tried to convey the essence of the film. I wish the team success with Santhana Prapthirasthu.”
Dialogue writer Kalyan Raghav said, “I mentioned during the trailer launch that the movie has double the fun seen in the trailer. There’s a deep connection between a film and its audience. A film is like a light – it gains life only through audience appreciation. I hope everyone watches and supports Santhana Prapthirasthu.”
Screenplay writer Sheikh Dawood G, said, “This is a good film that promises both entertainment and substance. I request everyone to come to theaters on the 14th to watch it.”
Music director Ajay Arasada said, “I was happy to work on the background score for this movie. It presents a contemporary social issue in a fun and engaging way, without any vulgarity, making it suitable for family audiences. Director Sanjeev has crafted it beautifully. I also composed the song Telusa Nee Kosame, which has received a great response.”
Lyricist Kasarla Shyam said, “I wrote the song Santhana Prapthirasthu Avighnamasthu. It reflects the theme of the film. Since the movie releases on Children’s Day, I hope it achieves great success.”
Actor Muralidhar Goud said, “Director Sanjeev Reddy made Santhana Prapthirasthu with a fresh storyline. I believe it will bring about positive change among some people and become a success.”
Producer Singanamala Kalyan said, “I’ve been friends with Madhura Sreedhar for 20 years. He makes films out of pure passion. My support will always be with him. I hope this movie becomes a big hit.”
Writer-director BVS Ravi said, “I enjoyed watching Santhana Prapthirasthu. Director Sanjeev Reddy has handled a sensitive issue in an entertaining way. After marriage, couples often face family and societal pressure about having children, and this film portrays that stress humorously. Chandini is doing meaningful films and is becoming an inspiration for Telugu actresses. Vikrant acted very well, and characters played by Muralidhar Goud and Vennela Kishore will stand out – especially with a twist in Kishore’s role. The songs are lovely, particularly Telusa Nee Kosame by Ajay Arasada. I believe this film will succeed.”
Producer Lagadapati Sridhar said, “I was among the few who previewed the film, and I really liked its theme and entertainment value. It gave me the satisfaction of watching a good Telugu movie. Santhana Prapthirasthu is one of the few recent films I truly enjoyed. My congratulations to the producers Sreedhar and Hariprasad, director Sanjeev, and the lead actors Chandini and Vikrant for their performances.”
Director Sanjeev Reddy said, “When we first announced the title Santhana Prapthirasthu, some people felt it might not appeal to family audiences. But our producers believed it perfectly fit the story. Infertility has become a major issue in today’s society. We see fertility centers everywhere – it’s good that people seek treatment, but many cases arise from lifestyle issues. That’s the subject we’ve addressed in this film. It has love, entertainment, and emotion along with a subtle message. Instead of treating the fertility issue in a serious tone that might alienate viewers, we added humor and fun. We’ve got many well-known artists, and our producers gave us great support. Chandini accepted to play a married woman’s role, and Vikrant prepared intensely for his part. Their on-screen chemistry will captivate audiences. I thank my entire team for standing by me and taking this project to the next level.”
Producer Appireddy said, “The teaser and trailer are very impressive. Producers Hariprasad and Sreedhar are my good friends. I previously worked with Sreedhar on Pressure Cooker. I wish Vikrant success with this film. We often admire Malayalam movies with strong content – similarly, we should also support such good Telugu films.”
Producer Madhura Sreedhar Reddy said, “We’ve attempted something unique with this clean family entertainer. The movie releases on the 14th, and I’m sure audiences will appreciate good content. Small films usually don’t have much to say before release, but success speaks afterward. This is a script we’ve loved for six years. Some actors we approached earlier didn’t take it up, but Vikrant did, and I thank him for that. Vicky Donor too was initially rejected by many before becoming a hit. I believe Vikrant will make his mark like Ayushmann Khurrana did. Chandini has delivered a charming performance. Thanks to director Sanjeev and our entire team.”
Producer Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy said, “Even before its release, we’re getting great applause for our film. The positive energy around it gives us confidence. After hearing the story, we decided to make it at any cost. We wanted to cast a Telugu heroine and encourage local talent, so we chose Chandini, who excelled as Kalyani. Vikrant perfectly fit the role of Chaitanya. Sometimes we even called him by that name on set. Sreedhar, Vikrant, and I all come from IT backgrounds, and we’re confident that our efforts will pay off.”
Actress Chandini Chowdary said, “When I first heard the script, I felt it was an important story for today’s society. Fertility centers have grown everywhere, and infertility is often blamed solely on women. Some even suggest remarriage if a woman can’t conceive. But for the first time, this movie addresses male infertility – a topic many avoid discussing due to embarrassment or social judgment. By combining fun and entertainment around such a serious point, we’ve made it accessible. I hope it creates awareness. I thank director Sanjeev Reddy for trusting me with the role of Kalyani, and our producers Sreedhar and Hariprasad for supporting the project. My co-star Vikranth is a dedicated actor, and I hope this film brings him success. The audience who liked our trailer will surely enjoy the movie.”
Actor Vikranth said, “Although I worked in software, cinema has always been my passion. I did a film before, which didn’t go as expected, so I took a break and honed my acting skills through theater. Then I met Sreedhar sir, who sent me this script. I wanted to do something different and relatable, and this story felt perfect. It takes a sensitive issue and presents it with entertainment, emotion, and a message. I play Chaitanya, a software employee – a character many can relate to. Many couples today face fertility challenges, and they’ll connect with this story. Chandini is the heart of the film. Sharing the screen with talents like Vennela Kishore, Abhinav, and Tharun Bhascker was exciting. I’m thankful to Sreedhar sir, Hariprasad sir, and Sanjeev Reddy sir for this opportunity. If we truly believe in our dreams, we can achieve them – and I believe my passion for cinema will succeed.”
Director Sandeep Raj said, “The trailer of Santhana Prapthirasthu is very impressive. Handling a sensitive issue in an entertaining way is like walking on a knife’s edge, and Sanjeev Reddy seems to have succeeded. My first film’s heroine was Chandini – she’s now known for picking content-driven movies. I hope this one becomes a huge hit for her and the team.”
Director Sailesh Kolanu said, “The trailer gives confidence that this movie has strong content and high-quality making. Every song is appealing. Combining entertainment with a sensitive topic has worked well in the past, and I believe it will again. After marriage, couples face pressure from family and society to have children – I’ve seen it myself. My advice to newlyweds is to understand each other before planning children. Vikranth looks sincere, and I wish him success. Chandini continues to choose meaningful films and win awards. I wish the entire team great success.”
Director Bobby Kolli said, “The trailer of Santhana Prapthirasthu* is excellent. Handling a sensitive subject in a way that appeals to everyone is no small feat. Director Sanjeev Reddy waited six years to bring this story to the screen – patience truly pays off. I’m sure this movie will succeed. My best wishes to producers Sreedhar and Hariprasad. Vikrant spoke beautifully earlier – hard work always pays off, and this film will be his recognition. Chandini is a dedicated actress; even with an injury during Daaku Maharaju, she performed running scenes. She consistently takes on unique films, and this will be another hit for her.”
