Sankranti 2027 Box Office Race Heats Up with Multiple Star Projects

Even though Sankranti 2027 is still months away, the festive box office race is already taking shape. Several big budget Telugu films currently under production are reportedly eyeing the lucrative holiday season.

Director Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming entertainer starring Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram is the first project to officially announce a Sankranti 2027 release. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s film with director Bobby, Karthi’s straight Telugu debut, Sharwanand’s entertainer with Sreenu Vaitla, and Ravi Teja’s next are also said to be targeting the festival window, although official confirmations are still awaited.

On the other hand, Balakrishna’s NBK111 and Prabhas’ Fauzi are expected to arrive in December 2026, keeping them out of the Sankranti race. Nagarjuna’s proposed multistarrer has reportedly been put on hold for now.

With five to six major films likely competing for the festive season, the final Sankranti 2027 release lineup is expected to become clearer after Dasara, once production schedules and official announcements are finalized.
