RGV Interacts with Engineering Students about his Upcoming Movie ‘Saaree ’

Renowned Director Ram Gopal Varma’s latest movie is ‘Saaree’. The tagline reads, “Too much love can be scary.” Directed by Giri Krishnakamal, the film is produced by prominent businessman Ravi Shankar Verma under the banner of RGV-ARV Productions LLP. The pan-India movie, made in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam, is set to release worldwide on March 21. Starring Satya Yadu and Aradhya Devi as the lead pair, ‘ Saaree ’ is based on several real-life incidents. The film, a psychological thriller, was discussed by Ram Gopal Varma with engineering college students. The event was held at Mallareddy Engineering and Management Sciences College(Vemula Raghavender reddy lakshmamma educational society) in Medchal, with Ram Gopal Varma, actors Satya, Aradhya Devi, producer Ravi Shankar Verma, and Varma’s sister Vijay participating. Around 2,000 students, faculty, board directors Vemula Krishna Reddy,Vemula Raghavendra Reddy(Bunty) and Vemula Bharath Simha Reddy(Bharath) attended the event.

Initially, Ram Gopal Varma spoke saying, “Good evening to all future Indian producers! And Happy Women’s Day to everyone!! I, like you, was also an engineering student. Based on real-life events, ‘Saaree’ is a psychological thriller that focuses on the impact of social media and how certain dangerous events happen because of it. We have all heard and seen many accidents and terrifying incidents that happen when people blindly trust unknown individuals they meet online without knowing their backgrounds. ‘ Saaree ’ is based on such real-life events. I came here to share the details of this film with you.”

During the event, Ram Gopal Varma answered several interesting questions posed by the students: Student: “RGV, do you have the courage to hug someone like me without any fear?” RGV: “I won’t. Do I look like someone who hugs men?!”
Student: “Would you direct a movie with Pawan Kalyan?”
RGV: “I will direct him only after I die.”
Student: “Can we expect a movie from you in collaboration with Sandeep Ranga?”
RGV: “What do you mean? Should I direct him as a hero or should he direct me as a hero? We both are directors; it won’t work. There won’t be a film.”

The movie’s heroine, Aradhya Devi, said, “First of all, Happy Women’s Day to all of you. Do you like my saree? I love Hyderabad, and though I don’t speak Telugu well, I will try. I really appreciate the love you’ve shown me. I’m from Kerala, and do I look like a Keralite? (The students said ‘No’.) Okay then, I’m a Telugu girl! This is my first time in front of you all with ‘Saaree’. Ram Gopal Varma introduced me to you through this film, and I hope to earn all your love and support through this movie.”

The hero of the film, Satya Yadu, shared, “I’m a stage artist from Delhi. Ram Gopal Varma announced the ‘Saaree’ movie, and I gave it a try. Fortunately, I was noticed by him, and today I stand before you as a hero. (To the girls) Do I look like a hero or a psycho? (The girls shouted ‘Hero… Hero… Hero’.) In the movie, I appear as a psycho, but in real life, I’m a very good person. ‘Saaree’ is based on real-life incidents and is a psychological thriller. The film has turned out very well. I hope all of you will watch it. It’s releasing on March 21 in four languages.”

When a student asked how RGV came to direct the film, producer Ravi Shankar Verma replied, “Ram Gopal Varma is my friend. I had known him, but I never thought I would make a movie with him. One day, he shared the ‘Shari’ story with me. Aradhya’s look in a saree on Instagram, choosing the rest of the cast, and then the project took off. I’m debuting as a producer with this film, and I believe it will bring me great recognition.”

A student asked RGV’s sister Vijaya, “Did you ever beat him?” She replied, “Since childhood, Ramu always had different thoughts. When he did something wrong as a kid, I once hit him. But he never hit me back, and he even learned karate. He doesn’t have the mindset to hit anyone. He takes everything very lightly.”

The event was full of laughter, cheers, and excitement, with the program conducted by Lucky Lakshmi, making it a lively and enjoyable session for everyone.
