“Pushpa is an Emotion… It Will Be Remembered Forever”: Allu Arjun

The highly anticipated Indian blockbuster Pushpa: The Rule (Pushpa 2) has been a massive success. Directed by renowned filmmaker Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with Sukumar Writings, the film stars Icon Star Allu Arjun in the lead role. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar ensured that the film was made on a grand scale with uncompromised quality. Released on December 5, the film has achieved unprecedented global success, breaking records for the highest box office collections in Indian cinema. Rashmika Mandanna played the female lead, while Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad composed the music.

To celebrate the film’s success, a Thanks Meet was held in Hyderabad on Saturday. During the event, the film’s team, including actors and technical crew, were honored with shields presented by Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, and producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar.

Speaking at the event, Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude, saying,
“I want to thank everyone who worked on Pushpa, whether for five minutes or five years. Every time I see my picture on the Pushpa poster, I see the love and effort of this entire team. The producers Ravi and Naveen made this film possible—without them, Pushpa wouldn’t have happened. They have taken care of us for five years. On set, Pushpa couldn’t have been shot without Cherry. I am grateful to every department. Devi Sri Prasad made my songs reach billions, and his brilliant music gave energy to this film.”

Allu Arjun also acknowledged the immense fan support, stating,
“I thank all Pushpa fans worldwide for embracing this film. I can never thank Sukumar enough. Directors are the ones who create hits, and for this film, everyone should thank Sukumar. He always credits the team for success, but he himself is the reason behind it. My performance has received a lot of appreciation, and the credit goes to Sukumar. I am his biggest fan—I get excited whenever he narrates a scene. He is a genius director. After completing the shoot for Pushpa 2, I became very emotional. Pushpa is not just a film; it is an emotion. The five years we spent on this film will be remembered for a lifetime. Every second of these five years has been valuable to all of us. I dedicate this success to my fans. As for Pushpa 3, I don’t know what’s in store, but it will be something extraordinary.”

Director Sukumar credited Mythri Movie Makers for the success, saying,
“It was Cherry’s suggestion that led to Pushpa being made in two parts. His advice played a key role in this success. Since Rangasthalam, Mythri Movie Makers have been instrumental in delivering back-to-back hits. This success belongs to them. My name is not just Sukumar; it is Sukumar Devi Sri Prasad. I cannot make films without Devi, and I never will. Allu Arjun gives me immense energy—he is the one person in this world who sees me as something extraordinary. He believed in me even when I didn’t have a proper story. This entire success belongs to Allu Arjun. I always told the team that this film would showcase what it’s like when a National Award-winning actor performs. Today, his performance is receiving praise from all corners. Recently, a veteran compared Allu Arjun’s acting to that of legendary actor S.V. Ranga Rao. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to this film’s success.”

Producer Ravi Shankar expressed his gratitude, saying,
