Peddi Releasing Worldwide In Theatres on April 30
Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s highly anticipated ambitious pan-India sports-action drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is in the final phase of its production. The film has moved from its earlier March 27 target to a prime summer release on April 30, aiming to leverage the long holiday season for maximum impact. With the extended timeline, the makers are now preparing for an aggressive promotional campaign.
The release date poster shows Ram Charan in a completely new and massy look, with long messy hair, a thick beard, and a nose ring. His fierce eyes cut through the smoky, chaotic surroundings as he emerges from a dense crowd of worn-out, grim-looking people. The entire frame is drenched in gritty tones, creating a sense of struggle, rebellion, and unrest.
The film has already made a strong mark with its promotional content. The first glimpse, first-look posters, and the chartbuster single Chikiri Chikiri, composed by AR Rahman, received a phenomenal response across platforms, crossing major milestones and keeping the hype continuously high. The song crossed 200 M views and is heading to shatter many records.
Adding to the film’s scale, the cast features Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady, along with Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani in key roles. Ram Charan will be seen in a first-of-its-kind role in the movie.
The film, produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi boasts an exceptional crew- Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman handling the music, popular cinematographer R Rathnavelu capturing the visuals, National Award–winning editor Navin Nooli overseeing the cuts, and Avinash Kolla crafting the film’s rich world through detailed production design.
Peddi will have a Pan India release in all south Indian languages and Hindi.
