Nagarjuna Akkineni Announces 2 Crore Scholarship Fund For ANR College
King Nagarjuna Akkineni graced the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of ANR College in Gudivada, Krishna District, as the chief guest, marking a memorable moment for students, staff, and attendees alike.
During his address, Nagarjuna announced that the Akkineni family will establish a 2 crore scholarship fund at ANR College, in memory of his parents, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Annapurna Akkineni. The initiative, he shared, was a joint decision made by himself, his sister Susheela, his brother Venkat, and the entire ANR family.
“We considered it our responsibility to honor our parents meaningfully,” said Nagarjuna. “We will work with the ANR College management to finalize the formalities and ensure the fund is implemented in the right way. Years ago, my father had contributed 1 lakh to this institution and it feels only right that we continue his legacy.”
The announcement drew warm applause from students and faculty, celebrating not only the family’s generosity but also their enduring connection to education and community service.
