Mohit Suri reveals his reason to rope in Jubin for Saiyaara’s romantic track Barbaad that drops today

After the chartbuster Saiyaara title track, Yash Raj Films and Mohit Suri have released the second song Barbaad from the much-awaited romantic film Saiyaara sung by Jubin Nautiyal with lyrics and composition by The Rish! Catch the song here : (LINK)

Ever since the teaser release, Saiyaara that brings together YRF and Mohit, both known for creating timeless love stories, has garnered unanimous praise for making an intense love story with debutants who share infectious chemistry and brilliant acting skills.

In Barbaad, Mohit has roped in the hugely acclaimed Jubin Nautiyal to lend his voice for this soulful romantic track as he feels Jubin is the voice of the generation when it comes to romance.

Mohit reveals, _“There are always singers who become the voice of a generation for romance and Jubin Nautiyal is definitely right up there! I was always sure that the album of Saiyaara would have Jubin singing a soulful romantic track. When I got Barbaad, I knew Jubin would be the perfect fit.”_

He adds, _“Jubin has a very unique voice that makes romantic songs have more feel, more impact. It is a rare quality for any singer to have which is why such singers become the biggest of the stars. I feel if a singer can land a romantic song that people can connect to, can identify with, it is truly a gift from above to have such a talent.”_

Mohit feels Barbaad will be nostalgic for everyone who has felt love in their lives. He says, _“Romantic songs have the power to evoke deep, personal nostalgia and I believe Barbaad will do that to people who have felt love in their lives. Barbaad is a song about how love can consume lovers and yet leave them wanting for more.”_

He adds, _“After the incredible response we have got for Saiyaara title track, we hope people love Barbaad too and give our film more love in the run up to our release.”_

The title of Saiyaara has also piqued interest of audience. It means a wandering celestial body, but in poetry it’s often used to describe something (or someone) dazzling, ethereal, or otherworldly — a wandering star – always shining, always guiding, but always out of reach.

The film introduces Ahaan Panday as a hero to the Hindi film industry and also stars Aneet Padda (who stole hearts with her brilliant performance in the much-acclaimed series Big Girls Don’t Cry) as the female lead. Saiyaara is produced by the company’s CEO Akshaye Widhani and it is set to release on July 18, 2025 in theatres worldwide.

YRF, in its 50 year history, is known for giving India some of the cult romantic films of all time primarily directed by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. Mohit Suri, who is currently in his 20th year in cinema, has also directed some of the most favourite romantic films like Aashiqui 2, Malang, Ek Villain, etc.
