‘Ma Oori Polimera-2’ is ten times more thrilling than the first part: Director Anil Vishwanath

Director Dr. Anil Vishwanath proved his mettle as a talented director with the film ‘Ma Oori Polimera’ on OTT. His latest film ‘Ma Oori Polimera-2’ is its sequel. ‘Ma Oori Polimera-2’, produced by Shree Krishna Creations and presented by Gowr Ghana Babu, is a rare thriller and an even more stunning sequel to be made in Telugu. Starring Satyam Rajesh and Dr. Kamakshi Bhaskarla in lead roles, the film also features Getup Srinu, Rakendu Mouli, Baladitya, Sahitya Dasari, and Ravi Varma play different roles in it.

In this interview, the director talks about the film in detail and what his major plus points are.

Q. Usually, sequels are made only for big films. But why are you making a sequel to a small film ‘Ma Oori Polimera’?

A. We had plans to make a sequel when we wrote the story for the first part. Due to the serious nature of the story, it needs to be told and extended. That’s why the second par. Part 2 begins where Part 1 ends. It is a perfect sequel.

Q. Going by the promotional material, do you feel that ‘Kartikeya’ is similar to your film?

A. Once you watch our movie, it will become clear that ‘Kartikeya’ has nothing to do with our story. The only commonality is the element of a temple.

Q. The first par featured some unexpected twists. The climax scenes were very thrilling in it. What twists will there be in Part 2?

A. Those who watched the first part enjoyed the twists a great deal. Their expectations for part 2 have only gone up. That’s why I made the Part 2 with a stronger screenplay. There are eight twists in this film and none of it is predictable. If you compare this movie with Part 1, the thrill will be ten times better. The climax scenes are shocking. I announced that Part 3 recently. Its story is ready.

Q. What kind of compliments did you receive for Part 1?

A. The first part was released on OTT. That’s why I didn’t get much response in terms of feedback. We released the film on OTT without any promotion. After watching the movie, many posted on social media that it was awesome. Senior actor Subhalekha Sudhakar called me and congratulated me.

Q. It seems that Satyam Rajesh has nailed it. What is your comment?

A. Satyam Rajesh is a very ambitious person. As an actor, he can do any given role. He shows great respect for directors and producers.

Q. Did you imagine that the second part will be released in theatres?

A. I made the movie for theatres. The producer has spent money without compromising anywhere. We are now releasing the movie in a very grand way in collaboration with distributor Vamsi Nandipati. With Bunny Vasu garu liking our film, the range has become bigger.

Q. Your next film?

A. I want to do one more film before the third part. If I continue with ‘Polimera 3’ right away, they might call me ‘Chetabadula director’ (laughs).
