Following the massive commercial success of Jailer, anticipation is steadily building around Rajinikanth’s upcoming sequel, Jailer 2. While the makers are yet to announce an official release date, industry reports suggest that the team is targeting the lucrative Dasara festive season. If everything goes according to plan, the action entertainer could arrive in theatres in mid October. With no major Telugu big budget releases officially locked for the same window, the festive slot could work in the film’s favor.

The production, however, is said to have experienced a few delays, largely due to changes involving key cameo appearances. Reports indicate that some of the initially planned guest stars could not come on board, prompting the makers to rework portions of the film.
