If Jailer 2 Gets Delayed, Two Heroes Eye the Dussehra Slot

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is currently at the centre of discussions over its release date. The film has been officially announced for an October 15 theatrical release, but reports suggest that the post-production work may require more time.

Director Nelson is known for taking extra care during the final stages of his films, while Anirudh’s background score is expected to be a major highlight of Jailer 2. The makers are reportedly in no mood to rush the process and may consider shifting the film to the Diwali weekend if necessary. An official update on the release date is expected in the next couple of weeks.

If Jailer 2 moves out of the October 15 slot, two films are reportedly looking to take advantage of the opportunity. Dhanush’s OM Chapter 1- Udhiram: The Blood Wood and Nikhil’s Swayambhu.

Swayambhu has already completed its shoot and is currently undergoing extensive VFX work. The makers are said to be exploring the possibility of releasing the film during the Dussehra season. Dhanush’s OM Chapter 1 has also wrapped up shooting, with the team reportedly keen on a Dussehra release.

With both films eyeing the same window, the final decision could depend on whether Jailer 2 sticks to October 15 or moves to a later date. The Dussehra release race is therefore expected to get more interesting in the coming weeks.
