I Am Game Set for Worldwide Release on August 20; Produced by Wayfarer Films

The release date of I Am Game, one of the most eagerly awaited films among Malayalam cinema audiences, has officially been announced. The film is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 20, 2026. Post-production works, including dubbing, are currently progressing at full swing. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, the big-budget action thriller is being touted as the biggest film in Dulquer’s career so far.

The film, which was shot across more than 100 locations in South India, is directed by Nahas Hidayath. Produced jointly by Dulquer Salmaan and Jom Varghese under the banner of Wayfarer Films, the screenplay has been written by Shahabas Rasheed and Aadarsh Sukumaran.

The film is gearing up to become one of the biggest releases in Malayalam cinema, carrying massive expectations among movie lovers. Touted as one of the grandest films ever made in Malayalam cinema, the movie will present Dulquer Salmaan in an ultra-stylish and mass avatar. Dulquer had recently revealed that this is the most stylish film of his career. I Am Game is also the next production venture from Wayfarer Films after the mega blockbuster success of Lokah. The film’s first-look and second-look posters received tremendous response across social media platforms. The big-budget action thriller also marks the 40th film in Dulquer Salmaan’s career.

Reports suggest that I Am Game will offer a thrilling cinematic experience with a style of storytelling Malayalam audiences have never witnessed before. Apart from Dulquer Salmaan, the film features a stellar ensemble cast including Antony Varghese, Tamil actor-director Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Kathir, Parth Tiwari and Tamil actress Samyuktha Viswanathan in pivotal roles. The music for the film is composed by Jakes Bejoy, while the action choreography is handled by Anbariv. The film also marks the next directorial venture of Nahas Hidayath after the blockbuster hit RDX. The film will release as a pan-Indian venture in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages.
