’Haiku’ Trailer Embellishes the Feel-Good Rom-Com with Heartwarming Emotions and Charming Humour
Aegan, Sridevi and Femina George-starrer promises a delightful blend of romance, humour and an underlying message.
The season of feel-good Rom-Coms continue to find favour with audiences, bringing stories filled with warmth, humour and emotions to the big screen. Joining the list is Haiku, an endearing romantic comedy that promises to strike a balance between youthful fun and a meaningful emotional core. Starring Aegan, Sridevi and Femina George in the lead roles, the film is written and directed by Yuvaraj Chinnaswamy and produced by Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu under the banner of Vision Cinema House. With the film scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on October 23, its trailer has now been unveiled and is receiving a warm response.
Running for 145 seconds, the trailer introduces audiences to a vibrant college setting, picturesque visuals and a love story at its centre. The film’s intriguing premise revolves around Mano, the only boy in a women’s college, setting the stage for a series of humorous and unexpected situations. The trailer gives glimpses of the chemistry, comic situations and emotional undercurrents that shape the narrative.
Sridevi, who made a notable impression with Court: State Vs Nobody, catches the eye with her natural screen presence, while Femina George adds another layer of charm and elegance to the proceedings. Together with Aegan, the lead cast brings an engaging energy to the film, with the trailer offering glimpses of the relationships and situations that drive the story.
Speaking about Haiku, actor Aegan says, “It’s a feel-good rom-com, but there is a deeper layer beneath it. After watching #Dorothy, many people have changed their perception and started looking at the choices and individuality of others with greater respect. Similarly, Haiku conveys a beautiful message about how men can change their perception towards women and understand the importance of respecting them. However, the film is not going to preach anything. It is a fun-filled entertainer with a message woven into the narrative, and I believe it will leave a lasting impression on audiences after they step out of the theatres.”
While Aegan, Sridevi and Femina George headline the film, the ensemble cast also includes Adirchi Arun, Subramaniya Sethu, Adhiyaman, Mime Gopi and Indhumathi Manigandan, among others.
The music by Siddhu Kumar is another highlight that has added to the anticipation surrounding the film. Hariharan Ram has penned the additional screenplay, while Priyesh Gurusamy handles cinematography and Sakthi Praneesh Ptakes care of the editing. Prem Karunthamalai oversees the art department.
B. Sakthivelan of Sakthi Film Factory is releasing Haiku across Tamil Nadu, with the film set to arrive in theatres on October 23.
