Megastar Chiranjeevi heartfully appreciated the unwavering dedication of fans and supporters in taking the blood donation campaign and movement forward. In a meeting with Blood Donors at Chiranjeevi Blood Bank on Saturday, Chiranjeevi highlighted the work put in by the blood donors over the years. He honored the mega blood donors and engaged in a heartfelt conversation with them.

Speaking at the event, Chiranjeevi shared, “My childhood friend Shankar serves as the CEO of the blood bank, while another close friend, CJS Naidu, is the CFO. Swamy Naidu continues to be a pillar of strength. Their relentless support enabled me to carry out the service programs successfully. My fans, brothers, and sisters have donated blood and stood by me. No matter where we are in the future, this noble initiative will continue…fueled by the generosity of my supporters who donate blood.”

Chiranjeevi further expressed, “We should never take up anything expecting reward or recognition. I never worried about the consequences when I started this program. Back then, people feared donating blood—some even expected money. Unlike today, voluntary blood donation was rare, and many lives were lost due to the unavailability of blood at critical moments. It pained me to see people die due to excessive bleeding during childbirth, thalassemia, leukemia, or platelet deficiencies.”

“Seeing the enthusiasm of my fans, I believed they could make a huge difference if guided in the right direction. That was when I asked Swami Naidu to dedicate himself to this cause. Initially, I was uncertain—would my fans donate blood if I asked them? To encourage them, I made it a condition that those who wished to meet me or take a photo with me had to donate blood first. The response was overwhelming; youngsters eagerly came forward. But I wondered, would this enthusiasm last? Would they return to donate again? Today, some of you have donated dozens, even hundreds of times. It is your belief in the joy of service that keeps you coming back. After me, Ram Charan also wishes to carry this legacy forward. I firmly believe that good deeds always bring positive returns,” Chiranjeevi expressed.

Recalling an incident, the actor shared, “Once, at the unveiling of Alluri Seetharama Raju’s statue, a leader spoke harshly against me. While I tend to ignore such remarks, my admirers do not. A woman from the crowd cursed that leader. Curious, I asked about her identity. To my surprise, she wasn’t even my fan. When asked why she reacted so strongly, she said, ‘Chiranjeevi saved my child’s life. My child was suffering from dengue and needed blood, which we received because of him. He is like God to me. How can I stay silent when someone speaks ill of him?’ At that point, I realized that the good we do never goes unnoticed. As our elders say, ‘Dharma protects those who uphold it.’ If we stay true to our path and do good, goodness will return to us. That’s why I always encourage people to think positively and do good. No matter how many people criticize me, I don’t let it affect me. It is you all who made this possible. Blood donors are the true heroes; I am merely a facilitator. The credit for this noble cause goes to you all.”

Chiranjeevi also acknowledged individuals like Shankar, Naidu, and Swami Naidu, who offer their services selflessly without expecting anything in return. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to them.

“I cherish every opportunity to meet blood donors. The Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust is like your home—you are always welcome to come and donate blood whenever you wish. Love you all,” he concluded.

Today Megastar Chiranjeevi Garu Donors (Blood and Pallets) appreciation program at Chiranjeevi Eye and Blood Center, Hyderabad.
