“Excited to Watch Okkadu in 4K Again” – Director Gunasekhar on the Re-Release

Produced by M.S. Raju under the Sumanth Art Productions banner and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Gunasekhar, Okkadu starring Superstar Mahesh Babu was originally released in 2003 and went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in Telugu cinema. Nearly 23 years later, the iconic film is all set to return to theatres in stunning 4K quality across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and other parts of India.

Widely regarded as a landmark film in Mahesh Babu’s career, Okkadu created a massive impact at the box office and established a unique place in Telugu cinema history. The film’s association with the famous Kurnool Kondareddy Buruju remains unforgettable among movie lovers. Presented by Radha Madhavi Film Distributors, the film will be re-released worldwide on June 26 by Ramakrishna.

The film features Bhumika Chawla as the female lead, while Prakash Raj delivered one of the most memorable antagonist performances in Telugu cinema. The cast also includes Mukesh Rishi, Telangana Shakuntala, Ajay, Geetha, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Rajan P. Dev, Achyuth and others in pivotal roles.
