Everyone’s calling to say our Aadi has delivered a hit: Sai Kumar at the success celebrations
Despite heavy competition, Shambhala turned out to be a big hit: Aadi Saikumar
Versatile actor Aadi Saikumar played the lead in Shambhala, produced jointly by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju under the Shining Pictures banner. The film is directed by Ugandhar Muni and was grandly released today (December 25). With the premieres receiving an excellent response and the film racing ahead with houseful collections on Day One, the team expressed immense happiness. In this context, the film unit organized a success celebration on Thursday.
Sai Kumar said: “I still remember the words my father told me after watching Prema Kavali in Vizianagaram. Today, hearing that housefull boards are up everywhere brings back those memories. In my 50-year career, I’ve acted in over 300 films and given dubbing for more than a thousand movies. I regularly keep track of new releases and their results. When Police Story released, I wondered if it would go houseful—but seeing packed halls made me extremely happy.
Now I’m hearing the same words again. Yesterday, I went on a theatre visit wearing a Shambhala T-shirt, and everywhere I went, the response was phenomenal. As Anil Ravipudi said, we scored a hit this Friday. He even messaged me at midnight calling it a blockbuster. We’re receiving terrific responses from all over, and people are calling nonstop for tickets.
All the credit goes to director Ugandhar Muni. Aadi, like me, is a director-actor at heart. People are also saying my voice-over has been a plus for the film. Touching upon Sanatana Dharma, Ugandhar has crafted this film beautifully. With a strong team, Mahidhar garu and Rajashekhar garu have made a film that audiences have turned into a big hit.
Every element in Shambhala captivates the audience. Films with strong content alone succeed. Housefulls everywhere, calls pouring in from all sides—everyone is saying, ‘Our Aadi has delivered a hit.’ People are congratulating me with great affection. This is truly a people’s victory. It’s a perfect family entertainer, blending all commercial elements seamlessly. Very soon, the Shambhala team will go on a success tour.”
Aadi Saikumar said: “The media has supported Shambhala immensely. I thank the media, my fans, and the audience who have stood by me throughout my journey. Ever since the premieres, we’ve seen housefulls everywhere from Day One. Despite releasing amid stiff competition, the film has emerged as a big hit.
We’re planning to increase the number of theatres soon. Please watch Shambhala in theatres—it’s an experience you can fully enjoy only on the big screen. Celebrate this holiday season with Shambhala.”
Director Ugandhar Muni said: “We began Shambhala last December and completed all post-production work just two weeks ago. Naturally, we were anxious about how audiences would receive the film and how to release it. Aha and Zee competed to acquire our movie after watching it.
We released the film amid intense competition and held preview shows over the past three days. The media preview received an overwhelming response, which gave me immense relief. During theatre visits, the response was extraordinary everywhere. People are calling nonstop for tickets—ironically, even we’re struggling to get tickets ourselves. Housefull boards are up at every theatre.
My heartfelt thanks to the audience for this incredible love. This film must be experienced in theatres to truly enjoy its sound and vibe. I thank Aadi garu for his unwavering support—he worked with complete dedication. Producers Mahidhar garu and Rajashekhar garu showed great courage and support, making it possible to present the film on such a grand scale. Watch Shambhala at your nearest theatre—you’ll definitely enjoy it.”
Producer Mahidhar Reddy said: “The response to Shambhala has been phenomenal. We expected it to be a hit, but never imagined it would become such a blockbuster. Housefulls everywhere, and we’re increasing shows based on demand. Ugandhar garu spent countless sleepless nights over the past year, working tirelessly on this film. My thanks to Aadi garu and the entire team for their support.”
Producer Rajashekhar Annabhimoju said: “Shambhala has become a success, and we’re all extremely happy. The premieres received tremendous responses, and housefulls are continuing everywhere. We’ll be increasing shows soon. The film began with Ugandhar’s story, and after Mahidhar Reddy joined, its scale and stature transformed completely. Thanks to Aadi garu and Sai Kumar garu for their support. I hope the film continues its strong run for at least two more weeks.”
Actress Archana Iyer said: “Thanks to the media and audiences for supporting Shambhala. Today’s audiences appreciate content-driven films, and it’s heartening to see housefulls across many theatres.
