Due to objections raised by the censor board, the film originally titled Vanara has been renamed VanaVeera
VanaVeera introduces Avinash Thiruveedhula as both hero and director. Simran Choudhary plays the female lead, while Nandu appears as the antagonist. The film is presented by Shanthanu Pathi and produced under the Silver Screen Cinemas banner by Avinash Buyani, Alapati Raja, and C. Ankit Reddy. Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra and music by Vivek Sagar are major highlights. Made as a mythological rural drama, Vanaveera is ready to hit theatres worldwide on January 1 as a New Year release. The trailer launch event of the film was held grandly in Hyderabad today.
Speaking at the event, actor Harsha said, “Like everyone else, we worked extremely hard for our film Vanaveera. You can understand what this film is all about just by watching the trailer. This is essentially a story about a son’s struggle for his father. I request everyone to watch our film in theatres on January 1 and support us.”
Actor Bobby said, “I really like the title Vanaveera. With this film, we are hoping to reach the audience about ten days ahead of the Sankranti season. This movie has all the elements required to satisfy family audiences as well as youth.”
DOP Chota K. Prasad said, “We worked on this film with great effort for two years. Earlier, the audience took the title Vanara forward, and now you need to take VanaVeera to the people as well. I am very happy that our hero Kiran Abbavaram released the trailer. I sincerely request your support for Vanaveera, which is releasing on January 1.”
Actress Simran Choudhary said, “VanaVeera is a very good family entertainer. This film has fun, mystery, thrilling moments, and romance – everything audiences look for. We are going to start the coming year with a bang through this movie. Telugu audiences always support good films, and we have complete faith in them. I hope all of you will encourage and support Vanaveera.”
Producer Shanthanu Pathi said, “Since the censor board did not approve our original title, we had to change it to Vanaveera. We registered the title with all proper permissions and spent a lot on promotions under that name. Now, media friends need to help us take the title Vanaveera to the audience. Our film is a complete family entertainer with all the elements audiences expect. When you watch it on screen, it will feel like a big film, not a small-budget one. I thank Kiran Abbavaram garu for releasing our trailer and producer Rajesh Danda garu for attending today’s event. Our heroine Simran gave tremendous support to the film and has even promised to join the success tour after release. We are coming to you with strong content to celebrate the New Year with our film on January 1.”
Guest producer Rajesh Danda said, “I really liked the Vanaveera trailer. The CGI work is of very high quality. These days, even big films are unable to achieve this level of CG. Avinash’s father is a very good friend of mine. He wanted to become a hero but couldn’t. Avinash fulfilled his father’s dream by becoming a hero, and not just that – he also became a director and made this film. Producer Shanthanu did not hesitate to spend money and made this film on a grand scale. When the censor objected to the title Vanara, they changed it to Vanaveera. Media friends should help take this title to the audience. Chota K. Prasad often spoke to me about this film. Ideally, it could have released on December 25 and stood among the top films of that period, but the team chose January 1. All recent releases are doing well, and I hope this film also becomes a success. I wish the entire team all the very best.”
Hero and director Avinash Thiruveedhula said, “We registered our movie title strictly according to all rules and announced it last year. When you ask a small film like ours to change the title just days before release, you should think about how difficult it becomes for small producers. In the past, a film like Valmiki was changed to Gaddalakonda Ganesh, and it reached the audience easily because of big names backing it. Now, our film is just five days away from release. We have already spent heavily on publicity and conducted promotional tours across Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh. At this point, we are completely depending on media friends to help us make the new title reach everyone. When I informed Kiran Abbavaram anna that we had changed the title to Vanaveera and requested him to release the trailer, he immediately agreed, and I am very thankful to him.”
He further said, “Some of the padding artists who played key roles in our film did not even support the movie through social media. I feel that promoting the film one acted in is a basic responsibility. Our film is set in a rural backdrop and has a mythological touch. The word Vanara instantly reminds people of Hanuman, and since the film also deals with sensitive themes like caste and politics, the censor board felt that the title was not appropriate. We respect their decision, but such objections should have been raised earlier. We have complete confidence in our content and are sure that we are giving the audience a hit film. Vanaveera will not disappoint.”
