‘Dhagad Pilla’ Lyrical Video Song Released from Gandhi Tatha Chettu

Renowned filmmaker Sukumar Bandreddy’s daughter, Sukrithi Veni Bandreddy, stars in the upcoming film Gandhi Tatha Chettu. Directed by Padmavati Malladi, the film is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Gopi Talkies. It is presented by Tabitha Sukumar, with Naveen Yerneni, Yalamanchili Ravishankar, and Shesha Sindhu Rao serving as producers.

Having already been showcased at several international film festivals, Gandhi Tatha Chettu has won numerous awards. Sukrithi Veni has also received the Best Child Actor award for her performance. The film is set to release theatrically worldwide on January 24.

Recently, superstar Mahesh Babu launched the film’s trailer, which has garnered an overwhelming response. Following this, the lyrical video of the song Dhagad Pilla has been released. Written by Kasarla Shyam, the song reflects the rural essence of Telangana through its lyrics, and it has been sung by Rahul Sipligunj with music composed by Ree

Speaking about the song, director Padmavati Malladi said, “The song beautifully captures the innocence, anger, and innate talent of rural children. It aligns with the story’s theme, which resonates with current societal challenges.”

About the Film
Gandhi Tatha Chettu explores a 13-year-old girl’s journey as she strives to save her village while following the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. The film addresses growing negativity, hatred, and conflicts, especially on social media, and emphasizes the significance of Gandhi’s principles in today’s world.

The cast includes Sukrithi Veni, Anand Chakrapani, Raghuram, Bhanu Prakash, Nehal Anand, Kunkuma, and Raag Mayur. The film’s technical crew features music by Reet, cinematography by Srijith Cheruvupalli and Vishwa Devabattula, and editing by Harishankar TN. Lyrics are penned by Suddala Ashok Teja, Kasarla Shyam, and Vishwa, with production design by V. Nani Pandu. Ashok Bandreddy serves as co-producer, and Abhinay Chilukamarri is the executive producer.
