“Crazy Kalyanam” Should Create History by Crossing ₹100 Crore at the Box Office: Director Nandini Reddy

“Crazy Kalyanam”, starring VK Naresh, Anupama Parameswaran, Tarun Bhascker, and Raj Weds Rambai fame Akhil Uddemari in the lead roles, is being produced by passionate producer Boosam Jagan Mohan Reddy under the Yaaro Cinemas banner as Production No. 2. The film is directed by Badrappa Gajula. The teaser of the film was unveiled today by successful director Nandini Reddy in the presence of the cast and crew.

Lyricist Gorati Venkanna said, “Considering my limitations, I have still written a considerable number of songs in cinema. This is a wonderful film that families can enjoy without any vulgarity. Anupama has delivered an excellent performance. None of the actors appear to be acting, they have lived their characters. Watching this story feels like witnessing real lives. One day, I casually narrated the story to writer Srinivasa Ravindra. He liked it immensely and introduced it to Venu anna and Jagan Mohan anna, and that is how the film began. We believed the story would connect strongly if it had the right actors. Our first choice for the father’s role was Naresh garu, followed by Anupama, Tarun Bhascker, and Akhil. Since this is my debut film, I wondered whether such established actors would even hear my narration. I thought that even if they refused, at least I could take a photograph with them. To my surprise, all of them accepted the story in a single sitting. Our producer believed in both me and the story, which gave me this opportunity. It is not easy for a first-time director to get such a stellar cast. The film features characters inspired by people we encounter in our everyday lives. Along with laughter, it offers deeply touching emotions.”

Actor VK Naresh said, “Our team has hit a six with the teaser itself. Venu Udugula garu first approached me for this film, after which Badrappa narrated the story to me for nearly one hour and forty-five minutes. I simply kept listening. Having acted in over 300 films, I can confidently say this script deserves to be a reference point for actors. Every actor should study it. My only suggestion to the team was that we should make this film with patience. After hearing the script, I wondered how I could do justice to my character. When Badrappa first narrated the story, he appeared very innocent. He spent nearly two and a half hours narrating it, filled with hilarious and emotional moments. I laughed so much during the narration that my stomach hurt. After hearing the story, I told him that if he made the film exactly as he narrated it, it would definitely become a hit. I loved not just my role but the entire script. The film is cute, hilarious, and highly relatable. I agreed to do the project because I trusted Badrappa’s narration. Shooting and dubbing have both been completed. I am proud of the filmmaking skills Badrappa has displayed. Nobody will believe this is his first film.
