Anil Ravipudi Clarifies His Role in Vijay’s Jana Nayagan

Director Anil Ravipudi has finally addressed the speculation surrounding Jana Nayagan, the Tamil adaptation of his Telugu hit Bhagavanth Kesari. Speaking in a recent interaction, Anil revealed that Vijay watched Bhagavanth Kesari after its release, loved the film, and wanted its emotional core to be reimagined for Tamil audiences.

He clarified that director H. Vinoth developed the adaptation independently, retaining the essence of the original while making significant screenplay changes, especially in the second half to suit Vijay’s image. Anil emphasized that he had no direct involvement in the remake’s development, adding that it was gratifying to see a star like Vijay appreciate his story.

With Jana Nayagan widely expected to be Vijay’s final film before his full time political journey, anticipation for the release continues to grow.
