Allu Arjun Calls Pushpa 2 Role One of the ‘Alpha’ Things He Has Done
Allu Arjun’s popularity has reached new heights with the success of the Pushpa franchise. In a recent special interview with Forbes India, the actor opened up about his career, box-office pressure, changing audience preferences and his approach to taking on challenging roles.
One of the highlights of the interview was his comments on his look in Pushpa 2: The Rule. His appearance as a woman during the Gangamma Thalli Jatara sequence became one of the film’s biggest talking points. Reflecting on the role, Allu Arjun described it as one of the most “alpha” things he has done in his career. For the actor, stepping away from his established star image and embracing an unconventional appearance represents true confidence and courage.
Allu Arjun also said he does not view the pressure that comes with big-budget films negatively. According to him, the responsibility of meeting the expectations of millions of viewers is a privilege, and the pressure that comes with it can be used as motivation to deliver better work.
The actor further observed that audiences today are far more selective about content. He believes ordinary content is no longer enough to sustain a film, while genuinely strong films naturally create an impact at the box office.
Following the global success of Pushpa, Allu Arjun remains focused on taking Indian cinema to a wider international audience.
