Akhil Akkineni has opened up about the biggest setbacks of his career, admitting that the failure of Agent left him mentally shattered. Speaking on a recent podcast, the actor revealed that the film went on floors without a bound script, a working style followed by some filmmakers but one he now considers a major mistake. He also expressed regret over the heavy financial losses suffered by the producer.
Learning from the experience, Akhil said he has made a firm decision to never begin a film without a complete bound script. He emphasized that his priority is to ensure the story, screenplay, and character arc are fully locked before shooting starts. The actor added that the success of Lenin has restored his confidence, and confirmed that he has already signed his next project, with an official announcement expected soon.
Akhil also spoke about his personal life, revealing that he and his wife, Zainab Ravdjee, got married after years of understanding each other. He credited her unwavering support during the toughest phase of his career, saying it helped him regain confidence and move forward with a fresh perspective.
