“A Great Historical Film Made for Society: Razakar Movie Team at the Press Meet”

Razakar, starring Bobby Simha, Vedhika, Anishka Tripathi, Prema, and Indraja in lead roles, is a significant historical film. Produced by Gudur Narayana Reddy under the banner of Samarveer Creations LLP, and directed by Yata Satyanarayana, the film was released in theaters last year and received positive success. Now, Razakar is set for its world digital premiere on Aha OTT starting from January 24th. To mark this occasion, a press meet was organized at Hyderabad’s Prasad Labs.

Producer Gudur Narayana Reddy shared, “Films are often made for entertainment and profit, but we made Razakar with a sense of responsibility. Our aim was to highlight the atrocities committed by the Razakars during the Nizam’s rule in a captivating manner. It is essential for future generations to understand these events, so we ensure that such horrors are never repeated. Throughout the making of this film, I received numerous threats, including threats to my life and my family. Despite this, I was not afraid and moved forward with producing the film. It has garnered a 9.5 rating on IMDb, and I was honored at the Goa Film Festival. With the unwavering support of our team and director Yata Satyanarayana, we were able to successfully reach our audience. I consider this my contribution to society, and the positive response from the public has been very satisfying. I believe that no other producer could have made this film. Now, we’re bringing this film to Aha to make it available for our Telugu audience, starting from the 24th. We hope for your continued support.”

Actress Indraja stated, “Producer Gudur Narayana Reddy garu produced Razakar after enduring significant hardships. Director Yata Satyanarayana spent ten years crafting this movie. It is a powerful documentary on the atrocities committed by the Razakars, and it is important for all of us to learn about the history of our land. This movie is not intended to create division between Hindus and Muslims. It portrays events as they truly happened. The character of a Muslim journalist in the film is especially remarkable. We also highlight the accomplishments of the sixth Nizam, who did much for the welfare of the people. I played the role of Veeranari Chakali Ailamma, a true heroine who stood up against the atrocities of her time. Director Yata Satyanarayana expressed, “Our film Razakar has received a fantastic response not only in Telugu but also in Hindi, Marathi, and other languages. Out of 18 film festivals we applied to, we were selected for 15. The film was recognized as the Best Indian Debut at the IFFI held in Goa, where I was nominated for Best Director. Representatives from 75 countries at the Goa Film Festival appreciated Razakar, and 72 countries attended its screening at the Jaipur Film Festival. They were all astonished to learn about such a significant chapter in India’s freedom struggle. The film has won multiple awards. During its theatrical release, it coincided with summer and exam season, so many people could not attend. We’ve received hundreds of calls asking when the film will be available on OTT. We received offers from three OTT platforms, but Aha was the best choice, as it has 25 to 30 lakh Telugu subscribers. We are bringing the film to Aha for the Telugu audience to understand this important part of history. I am confident that everyone will want to watch Razakar on Aha. Aha has supported us from the beginning, and due to film festivals and a Hindi release, there was a slight delay in bringing it to OTT. I have 20 more stories about heroes from Telangana’s history, and I plan to turn them into films as soon as possible. Our movie showcases Operation Polo as much as possible within its length.”
