After delivering a blockbuster with his debut film Uppena, director Buchi Babu Sana earned the opportunity to helm Peddi starring Ram Charan, marking a major milestone in his career. While the film performed well at the box office and reportedly satisfied producer Venkata Satish Kilaru, industry circles are also discussing the film’s budget management.

According to industry buzz, Peddi went significantly over budget due to lavish spending during production. Several prominent actors were reportedly cast even for minor roles, increasing the remuneration costs, while extended shooting schedules further inflated the budget despite Ram Charan maintaining a disciplined schedule. Sources suggest that the overspending was largely attributed to Buchi Babu’s limited experience in handling a project of this scale.

Despite the criticism, the film’s commercial performance has kept the producer happy. Buchi Babu is said to be committed to directing his next film for Mythri Movie Makers, although the project may take time to materialize as most leading Telugu stars are currently occupied with multiple commitments.
