Tata AIA Unveils Enhanced Vitality Wellness Programme to Boost Life Expectancy
Tata AIA Life Insurance has launched an enhanced version of its wellness programme, Tata AIA Vitality, designed to help policyholders add up to five years to their life expectancy through science-backed, everyday healthy habits. Based on extensive global and Indian demographic research involving factors such as physical activity, nutrition, sleep, and medical screenings, the revamped programme offers an increased focus on longevity and more rewarding benefits. Members can now earn points starting from a lower daily milestone of 5,000 steps, reflecting the core philosophy that consistency outweighs intensity.
The initiative integrates health tracking through platforms like Health Connect and rewards members from day one with discounts on fitness wearables, athleisure, and gym memberships from partnering brands including Decathlon, Puma, Google, FitPass, and cult fit. As members maintain regular physical activity, complete annual health checks, and participate in mental health assessments, they advance through four distinct Vitality Status tiers—Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—which ultimately unlock enhanced renewal premium discounts.
Speaking about the rollout, Sujeet Kothare, Chief Business Officer – Proprietary Business, Propositions & Marketing at Tata AIA Life Insurance, emphasized that the future of insurance centers as much on prevention as it does on protection. He noted that the programme seamlessly merges wellness tracking with life coverage to help individuals and families build healthier lifestyles while enhancing their long-term financial resilience. The newly structured offering is tailored to support customers across all life stages—from fitness-focused youth and couples building shared routines to families fostering positive habits and older adults striving for active, independent aging.
