Pharma Pro & Pack Expo 2026 Concludes Historic Edition in Hyderabad
The 2026 edition of the Pharma Pro & Pack Expo concluded its largest event yet at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad. Jointly organized by Messe Muenchen India and the Indian Pharma Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPMMA), the three-day trade show brought together the entire spectrum of pharmaceutical processing and packaging technology.
Key statistical highlights from the milestone 2026 edition include:
19,206 visitors and 353 exhibiting brands occupying over 35,000 square metres of exhibition space across all halls at HITEX.
Participation from over 30 countries, supported by 350+ hosted buyers.
More than 1,000 structured buyer-seller meetings conducted alongside three comprehensive days of industry conferences.
Compared to previous cycles, the exhibition space grew by 30 percent, while visitor attendance surged by over 100 percent. International delegations from countries such as Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, the United States, the UK, Switzerland, South Korea, and the UAE reinforced the event’s standing as a vital nexus connecting Indian manufacturing with global markets. Bhupinder Singh, President – IMEA, Messe München, and CEO, Messe Muenchen India, noted that the extraordinary response validates the show’s expanding role in industry investment and technology-evaluation cycles.
A Comprehensive Platform for Business and Technology Decisions:
The exhibition floor showcased cutting-edge pharmaceutical processing machinery, packaging systems, water-treatment solutions, automation tools, quality-control systems, cleanroom infrastructure, and software platforms. Serving as a launchpad for over 120 new products and technologies, the event underscored the sector’s definitive pivot toward regulatory compliance, automation, data-driven manufacturing, patient-centric packaging, and sustainable operations.
A dedicated International Pavilion gave overseas enterprises a focused stage to present foreign advancements to domestic buyers. Simultaneously, a robust software solutions segment highlighted the growing integration of manufacturing execution systems, track-and-trace platforms, and digital analytics. Industry leaders, including Giulio Ghislieri of Bonfiglioli Engineering and Prasad Satam of Aurobindo Pharma, emphasized how the broad technology showcase streamlined the sourcing and technical evaluation process for active and upcoming corporate expansion projects. This expansive regional and national reach was further catalysed by pre-event roadshows hosted across Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
Targeted Matchmaking and Forward-Looking Conferences:
To elevate business outcomes, the structured buyer-seller matchmaking program facilitated high-value interactions for international delegations from markets like Bangladesh, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Complementing the exhibition floor, the conference program ran under the core theme, “Future of Pharma Manufacturing: Trends Transforming the Industry.”
Technical sessions curated alongside industry leaders like Glatt, ACG, and the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance tackled artificial intelligence, digital transformation, anti-counterfeiting protocols, and sustainable packaging. The final day featured strategic outlooks alongside knowledge partner Coherent Market Insights, outlining the machinery sector roadmap up to 2033. Concluding the successful event, Ratan Singhania, President of IPMMA, and Avisha Desai, Executive Director at Messe Muenchen India, confirmed that the platform has laid a formidable foundation for future industry growth, with the next edition slated to return in 2027.
