Motovolt Mobility Partners with Cargo Players to Electrify Quick Commerce Deliveries
Kolkata: Motovolt Mobility, a pioneer in purpose-driven electric mobility solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Cargo Players, a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider operating a dedicated EV fleet for hyperlocal and quick commerce delivery. Under this collaboration, Cargo Players will deploy Motovolt’s specialized MVS7 electric vehicles across its active delivery operations.
The vehicles will be equipped with Indofast Energy’s battery-swapping technology. This partnership marks a significant step forward in the electrification of last-mile logistics and reflects both companies’ shared commitment to building a cleaner, more efficient urban delivery ecosystem.
Driving Efficiency in Delhi-NCR and Pune:
The partnership involves the deployment of Motovolt’s MVS7 units across Cargo Players’ operations in the Delhi-NCR and Pune regions. This move directly empowers the gig workers who power India’s leading on-demand platforms and quick-commerce marketplaces.
Engineered for the rigors of high-frequency urban delivery, the MVS7 eliminates range anxiety and battery-related downtime while offering a significantly lower total cost of ownership compared to conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) two-wheelers. The result is a more dependable, economical, and stress-free experience for riders, enabling them to focus on completing deliveries reliably and maximizing their daily earnings.
Leadership Insights on Sustainable Logistics:
Speaking on the association, Tushar Choudhary, Founder and CEO of Motovolt Mobility, said:
“The gig economy is the backbone of India’s quick commerce revolution, and our MVS7 is purpose-built to empower these delivery partners with a vehicle that is economical and durable, in equal measure. This collaboration reflects our shared vision of building a sustainable logistics ecosystem where performance meets purpose, making electric vehicles accessible to everyone in India.”
Ratanbhushan Gupta, Co-Founder of Cargo Players, emphasized the operational and socio-economic benefits of the rollout:
“The MVS7, powered by Indofast’s battery-swapping network, enables our delivery partners to operate without range anxiety completing more runs, earning more, and doing so with zero tailpipe emissions. Beyond the environmental impact, this partnership is fundamentally about our riders ensuring they have access to dependable, low-cost-of-ownership vehicles that protect their livelihoods and reduce the financial burden of daily operations.”
As India’s quick commerce sector continues its rapid expansion, the demand for sustainable, scalable, and cost-efficient last-mile mobility has never been greater. This alliance directly addresses that imperative, providing gig workers with access to reliable electric vehicles that strengthen their earning potential while collectively driving the transition toward cleaner, greener cities.
