DoorDash Enters India with its First Talent Hub in Hyderabad

DoorDash, one of the world’s leading local commerce platforms, is entering India through Hyderabad by launching its first Talent Hub, marking a long-term commitment to Telangana’s innovation ecosystem. The company is starting with 500 professionals and plans to scale its headcount to over 3,000 employees over time. The facility was inaugurated by Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Industries & Commerce, Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana, alongside DoorDash Chief Financial Officer Ravi Inukonda, Senior Director of Workforce Strategy and Talent Acquisition Operations Jenna Kohnke, and IT Advisor Shri Sai Krishna.

Global Operations and Ecosystem Integration:
The new Hyderabad hub serves as DoorDash’s third internal customer experience and international (CXI) service centre globally, joining Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City. It will support DoorDash’s global operations, helping deliver reliable experiences across geographies serving over 56 million monthly active consumers and a population exceeding 1 billion. Minister D. Sridhar Babu highlighted that DoorDash selecting Hyderabad validates the city’s rise as a global talent hub, especially given the company’s marketplace gross order value (GOV) exceeding $100 billion in 2025 across more than 40 countries. Jenna Kohnke noted that Hyderabad’s exceptional talent and thriving technology ecosystem made it a natural choice for long-term investment.

Recruitment, Phased Office Setup, and Partnerships:
DoorDash is recruiting direct employees for the Hyderabad hub, initially hiring around 500 team members with expansion plans targeting over 3,000 roles. An initial office is scheduled to open in October 2026, followed by a larger, permanent facility in Hitech City by April 2027. To manage this phased establishment, DoorDash is partnering with Table Space for enterprise-grade managed office solutions, with transaction facilitation handled by Knight Frank and Kontor.
