Rishi Premnath Secures AIR 8 in JEE Main 2026; Hyderabad Toppers Shine
Hydeabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the JEE Main 2026, highlighting a strong performance from students across Hyderabad. Leading the city’s results, Rishi Premnath achieved a perfect 100 percentile, securing All India Rank (AIR) 8.
Rishi, who attributed his success to a deep conceptual understanding rather than rote learning, emerged as the top scorer among candidates from the South Indian region within his coaching institute. He credited his achievement to the structured academic environment and the consistent accessibility of his mentors, who helped clarify complex subjects during his preparation.
Notable Local Achievements
Beyond the top ten, Hyderabad saw several other high-ranking performances. Samavedam Raghu Kapish Akshith secured AIR 76 with an impressive 99.997 percentile, while Niuv Kocheta followed closely with AIR 104, scoring 99.996 percentile. Local academic heads noted that these results reflect a broader trend of excellence in the city, with further high-percentile scores expected as the full result compilation concludes.
The success was celebrated locally by students, parents, and faculty, who viewed the outcome as a collective result of student dedication and parental support.
National Standings and Audit Transparency
On a national level, the competition remained intense. Kabeer Chhillar secured the AIR 1 position with a 100 percentile score. Other top national performers included Arnav Gautam at AIR 5 and Shubham Kumar at AIR 6.
In a move to ensure the integrity of the reported data, the results provided by the leading institute involved in these students’ preparation, Allen Career Institute, were independently validated by the audit firm EY India. This practice of third-party verification has become an increasingly common standard to maintain transparency in academic reporting.
