Sri City Observes 55th National Safety Day with Week-Long Awareness Drive
Reaffirming its continued commitment to workplace safety, Sri City commemorated the 55th National Safety Day with an engaging ceremony at the Trade Centre, marking the culmination of a week-long safety awareness campaign. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees, industrial workforce, and students from neighbouring schools, all united in promoting a strong safety culture.
Mr. Satish Kamat, President (Operations), hoisted the Safety Flag and administered the Safety Pledge. Emphasising that sustainable growth rests on a “safety-first” approach, he highlighted the importance of strict adherence to safety protocols, consistent use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with established standards. He also stressed that safety extends beyond the workplace, calling attention to responsible behaviour on the roads, observance of traffic rules, and ensuring safety practices at home to protect families and communities.
In a message, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, called for shared responsibility in advancing safety standards across Sri City. He urged employees, industries, and the community as a whole to collaborate in ensuring a safe environment, stating that Sri City continues to prioritise safety as a core value, fostering a secure, healthy, and productive ecosystem for all stakeholders.
Mr. Y. Ramesh, Assistant General Manager – Security & Vigilance, addressed the gathering. Employees and students from Chinmaya School, Accord School, ZP High School, Irugulam, and ZP High School, Madanapalem participated. Winners of the week-long safety competitions were honoured. The programme was coordinated by Mr. K. Narendra Babu, Manager – Environment, Health & Safety.
