Sri City MD Congratulates Team Skyroot on Historic Vikram‑1 Launch Success

Terming it a historic feat, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City, congratulated ‘Team Skyroot’, led by CEO Pawan Kumar Chandana, for the the triumphant success of the maiden orbital flight of Vikram‑1, India’s first privately developed rocket, from Sriharikota. He said the achievement reflects the growing strength of India’s private sector in space technology and signals a new era of innovation and collaboration.

Dr. Sannareddy lauded the able leadership of Dr. Pawan Kumar Goenka, Chairman of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN‑SPACe), for fostering public‑private partnerships in space technology. He credited the strong foundation laid by ISRO under Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan for inspiring private ventures, and appreciated the support of Mr. S. Muthuchezhian, Director of SDSC SHAR, in strengthening the spaceport ecosystem in Sriharikota.

He added that Sri City, which is developing an Aerospace and Allied Engineering Hub near Sriharikota, takes pride in contributing to India’s expanding ecosystem that promotes entrepreneurship, research, and advanced engineering, paving the way for future breakthroughs in space exploration.
