Simple Energy Debuts New Retail Design Concept with First Store Launch in Guntur
GUNTUR: Capitalizing on its recent funding momentum, Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer Simple Energy has officially inaugurated its first flagship retail outlet in Guntur. The launch also serves as the global debut for the company’s next-generation retail design philosophy, dubbed “Simple Store 2.0.”
Established in a strategic partnership with RR Mobility, the new 1,170-square-foot facility operates under a comprehensive 3S model integrating Sales, Service, and Spares into a single ecosystem. To guarantee a seamless ownership experience, the retail space is backed by a fully equipped, standalone 1,680-square-foot service center dedicated to rapid after-sales support.
The “Simple Store 2.0” Experience:
Rooted in the brand philosophy of “simple people, meaningful experiences,” the updated retail format aims to move beyond traditional transactional spaces. The company intends for these new-format stores to function as community hubs where electric vehicle enthusiasts and customers can interact directly with the brand, explore accessories, and learn about the evolving EV landscape.
The Guntur location sets the architectural and experiential baseline that Simple Energy plans to replicate across all upcoming dealerships nationwide.
Expanded Product Lineup on Display:
The showroom floor highlights Simple Energy’s expanding portfolio, featuring their three core high-performance electric scooters tailored for different range requirements:
Simple Ultra: The company’s newly launched flagship model. It features a massive 6.5 kWh battery setup delivering an Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) certified range of 400 km. It boasts a top speed of 115 kmph and handles 0–40 km/h acceleration in a swift 2.77 seconds.
Simple One Gen 2: The updated iteration of their classic scooter, offering a dependable IDC range of 265 km.
Simple OneS Gen 2: A highly accessible urban variant tracking an IDC range of 190 km.
“The opening of our Guntur store marks an important milestone in Simple Energy’s expansion journey,” said Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO of Simple Energy. “Andhra Pradesh is a key market for us… Our recent funding round is enabling us to accelerate investments in retail expansion, service infrastructure, and customer experience as we scale our footprint and drive EV adoption across the country.”
Pricing and Regional Footprint:
Simple Energy’s current network spans 72 outlets across 38 cities, including major hubs like Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Chennai. Following the Guntur launch, the brand’s immediate roadmap includes upcoming expansions into Ranchi and Bhubaneshwar.
In terms of regional pricing, the lineup is structured to appeal to different market segments. The urban-focused Simple OneS Gen 2 starts at an ex-showroom price of INR 1,64,999 in Andhra Pradesh, offering a 190 km range. Upgrading to the standard Simple One Gen 2 brings the price to INR 1,94,000 with an extended 265 km range, while the premium, long-range Simple Ultra tops the lineup at INR 2,34,999, boasting a high-capacity 400 km range.
The Guntur store is now fully operational and open for customer test rides, accessory browsing, and immediate bookings. Customers unable to visit the physical showroom can also schedule test rides or reserve their vehicle via the company’s official website.
