All Gifts Are Safe, Do Not Believe Rumors: Ayodhya Trust
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced that all gifts, donations, silver bricks, and ornaments offered to Ayodhya Lord Rama are completely safe. The Trust acknowledged that it is true that the Trust’s General Secretary, Champat Rai, and Trustee, Anil Mishra, have resigned. Following the controversy that arose regarding Lord Rama’s gifts, the Trust released a press statement. Responding to the developments over the past few days concerning temple donations, the Trust’s Treasurer, Swami Govinddev Giri, clarified that they are committed to protecting the faith of the devotees.
The Trust gave a clear assurance through this statement that the silver bricks, gold ornaments, and other valuable items personally handed over to the Trust officials by devotees for the service of Lord Rama are completely safe with precise accounting, and devotees need not harbor any anxiety or doubt regarding this matter. The Trust strongly condemned the rumors circulating about the gifts offered to the temple by devotees coming from both within the country and abroad.
It stated that perfect records are maintained for all the gifts given to the Ram Mandir. The Trust also mentioned that there would be complete cooperation from its side for an impartial investigation to regain the trust of the devotees. In light of the allegations that money received through the hundis (donation boxes) was misappropriated, the Trust assured that an FIR was registered as soon as the interim report from the SIT (Special Investigation Team) appointed by the UP government was received, and promised that such incidents would not be allowed to happen in the future.
