Nayanthara & Kavin’s ‘Hi’ Set for a Grand Worldwide Release on August 14

Release Date Announcement Video Unveiled for the Much-Awaited Family Entertainer.

The makers of ‘Hi’, marking the first-ever on-screen collaboration of Lady Superstar Nayanthara and Kavin, have officially announced the film’s theatrical release date by unveiling a special announcement video. The much-awaited family entertainer is all set to hit theatres worldwide on August 14.

Directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan, Hi boasts of an impressive ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kavin, K. Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika Sarathkumar, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan, Adithya Kathir and Qureshi, among others. The film’s technical crew comprises cinematographer Rajesh Shukla, music composer Jen Martin, editor Philomin Raj, and production designer S. Kannan.

Bankrolled jointly by Zee Studios, The Rowdy Pictures, and Seven Screen Studio, the film is backed by producers Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and S.S. Lalit Kumar. Vinodh C.J. and K.S. Mayil Vaganan serve as co-producers, while V.K. Kubeendran is the Creative Producer.

The film has already generated considerable buzz following the release of its first single, which garnered millions of digital views, thereby heightening expectation levels. Building on that momentum, the makers have now confirmed that Hi will arrive in cinemas across the globe on August 14.

Speaking about the film, director Vishnu Edavan says, “Hi is exactly as the title suggests is a simple, heartwarming, and feel-good film. Created as a wholesome family entertainer, the film promises two-and-a-half hours of engaging entertainment that audiences of all ages can enjoy together. Set across Chennai, Coimbatore, and Pollachi, the story unfolds with warmth, humour, and emotions. Much like classics such as Darling Darling Darling, Santhosh Subramaniam, and Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Hi is a family entertainer without a conventional antagonist.”

Having previously worked alongside Lokesh Kanagaraj on blockbuster films such as Kaithi, Master, and Vikram, Vishnu Edavan makes his directorial debut with Hi. Furthermore, his collaboration that involves the first-time pairing of Nayanthara and Kavin, a stellar supporting cast, and a refreshing family-oriented narrative, the film has already registered itself as one of the most eagerly awaited Tamil releases of the season.
