A Gripping Psychological Thriller Exploring Dreams, Disorder, and Destiny – “FIGHT MAHA”
Acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma launches the teaser of the unique psychological thriller “FIGHT MAHA”
Fight Maha, starring Sunil, Akhil Uddemari, Dr. Sreevani Gopichand, Vaishnavi, Siddharth, and Srikanth Iyengar in pivotal roles, is an upcoming psychological thriller with the intriguing tagline, “What if dreams become reality… whose truth would it be?”
Written and directed by Anand Chandra, the film is produced by AVS Raju, R. Kumar Raju, and Anand Chandra under the New Eye Movies LLP banner. The film has successfully completed shooting across Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Kerala, along with all post-production formalities, and is gearing up for a theatrical release soon.
The film’s teaser was recently unveiled by renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma at a grand launch event. The occasion was attended by noted filmmaker Vamsy, director and writer BVS Ravi, lyricist Sirashri, and Mrs. Vijaya, sister of Ram Gopal Varma, as special guests.
Producer AVS Raju said: “When director Anand Chandra narrated the story to us, we were instantly impressed. It was the story itself that inspired us to produce this film. Anand has translated the vision he narrated into the screen with the same conviction and excellence. We shot the film across Visakhapatnam, Kerala, and Hyderabad, and we are very happy with the final output.”
Director Anand Chandra said: “Fight Maha is a unique psychological thriller that revolves around dreams, psychological disorder, destiny, guilt, and hidden truths. It is a story that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.’Maha’ is the name of our male protagonist. Throughout the film, he is constantly fighting the challenges in his own life. That is why we chose the title ‘Fight Maha.’ Beyond being a psychological thriller and an emotional drama, the film also carries an inspiring message—that no matter how difficult life becomes, one should never give up but continue fighting. We believe audiences will connect with both the emotional depth and the thrilling narrative.”
Writer BVS Ravi said: “The producers had earlier shared the songs from Fight Maha with me, and I was thoroughly impressed. The music is excellent, and now the teaser looks equally promising. Today’s audiences are embracing concept-driven films more than ever, and I sincerely hope Fight Maha becomes a major success.”
Lyricist Sirashri said: “The teaser of Fight Maha is highly engaging. It creates a strong curiosity to watch the trailer, and that curiosity should ultimately translate into excitement for the film itself. The team has successfully captured the audience’s attention with the teaser alone, which is a great achievement.”
Ram Gopal Varma said: “I received a lot of appreciation for the Steadicam shots in Shiva. However, even before Steadicams became popular, director Vamsy had already executed remarkable camera work in Anveshana. The sleepwalking concept showcased in Fight Maha is truly unique. There may have been films with similar ideas elsewhere, but for Telugu audiences, this concept will feel fresh and new. I know Anand as a capable filmmaker, and I am confident he has handled the emotional and thriller elements effectively. The teaser has certainly piqued my interest, and I am eagerly looking forward to watching the trailer.
