TCS and Anthropic Forge Global Premier Partnership to Scale Enterprise AI Adoption Globally
Hyderabad: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has announced a global strategic partnership with Anthropic, the frontier AI company behind Claude. As a Global Premier Partner within the Claude Partner Network, TCS is establishing a dedicated Business Unit focused on delivering strong customer value propositions, joint industry solutions, and deep AI expertise across the Claude family of models, backed by early access to Anthropic’s technology.
In highly regulated industries, artificial intelligence initiatives often stall at the pilot stage due to stringent requirements for accuracy, auditability, and oversight, coupled with a high cost of error. This partnership is specifically structured to overcome these barriers. By combining TCS’ governance, established controls, and implementation expertise, the collaboration enables enterprises to deploy Claude confidently into full-scale production environments rather than limiting its use to isolated experimentation. The partnership provides clients a practical path to enterprise-wide adoption and measurable outcomes by uniting scaled internal deployment, joint go-to-market strategies, industry co-innovation, and comprehensive workforce enablement.
As part of this initiative, TCS will equip 50,000 of its own associates across engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales with Claude via enterprise-wide licensing. By deploying the AI model internally, TCS aims to gain first-hand experience transforming its own corporate operations while simultaneously applying those operational insights to drive success for its clients.
TCS and Anthropic will jointly go to market with AI solutions and services across multiple industries, with a particular focus on highly regulated sectors such as financial services, public services, life sciences, healthcare, aviation, telecom, and medtech. Together, the companies plan to co-innovate solutions for domain-specific workflows, systems modernization, and customer experience transformation, utilizing TCS’ established consulting, engineering, and managed services capabilities.
The partnership directly extends to TCS products, platforms, and domain-specific solutions across several key areas:
In the United Kingdom, Diligenta—TCS’ FCA-regulated life and pensions business that serves more than 22 million customers—will integrate Claude to improve customer experience through agentic process transformation at scale. Concurrently, TCS’ Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Products and Platforms teams will leverage Claude Code to enhance productivity across software engineering and IT operations.
TCS iON, which conducts over 75 million annual assessments across 1,500 cities in India, will utilize the partnership to deliver high-impact learning programs and formal certifications on Claude models, helping build a future-ready, AI-certified workforce across India.
TCS will introduce its domain-led engineering expertise directly into the Claude Code ecosystem through reusable skills and custom plugins, introducing advanced automated capabilities such as claims adjudication and lending advisory services.
K Krithivasan, CEO and MD of TCS, emphasized that true enterprise AI value stems from understanding deep business context, orchestrating complex systems, and applying scaled AI engineering talent. He noted that combining Claude with TCS’ industry expertise and engineering rigor will help customers move faster into production, particularly in industries where trust, resilience, and regulatory discipline are paramount, aligning with TCS’ strategy to help clients become perpetually adaptive enterprises.
Dario Amodei, Co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, highlighted that Claude was purposefully built to be safe, trusted, and accurate. He noted that the partnership deepens Anthropic’s commitment to India, which represents the company’s second-largest market, by allowing TCS to bring Claude directly to enterprises, regional professionals, and 50,000 internal TCS employees.
N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, stated that the partnership reflects a shared conviction that AI will be foundational and transformative for global enterprises. He added that combining Anthropic’s capabilities with the Tata Group’s scale, trusted relationships, and nation-building commitment will accelerate enterprise reinvention while equipping India’s youth with the critical skills required to lead in the evolving AI era.
