Tata Motors Launches All New Intra V40 and Strengthens Alternate Fuel Leadership in Small Commercial Vehicles

Intra V40: Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has accelerated its push in alternate fuel mobility with the official launch of the all-new Intra V40. This new model reinforces the company’s leadership in the fast-growing small commercial vehicle (SCV) and pickup segment. Engineered specifically for high-load, high-efficiency operations, the Intra V40 addresses the market’s need for lower operating costs and greater routing flexibility.

Performance, Payload, and Bi-Fuel Architecture:
The defining feature of the Intra V40 is its advanced CNG + petrol bi-fuel technology. This configuration is paired with a best-in-class payload capacity of 1,525 kg and a 2,960mm (9.7ft) long load body, allowing operators to maximize their volumetric cargo capacity and overall earnings.

Key technical and performance specifications include a 1.2-litre engine that delivers 58 bhp of maximum power and 106 Nm of maximum torque. A large 110-litre CNG tank supports long-distance operations, while the bi-fuel system eliminates range anxiety by ensuring smooth transitions between fuel types. Structurally, the vehicle is underpinned by a premium hydroformed chassis, offering superior strength, stability, and real-world durability under heavy loads. For the driver, it is built with a modern walk-through cabin, car-like driving dynamics, and front disc brakes to ensure optimum control and reduced fatigue over long operating hours.
