Netradyne Partners with NHEV to Power AI Safety and Intelligence Across India’s E-Highways
Netradyne: In a landmark initiative aimed at accelerating India’s most ambitious electric vehicle (EV) mobility programme, Netradyne has announced a strategic partnership with National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV). The global leader in AI-powered fleet safety technology will power the critical intelligence and safety layer across India’s emerging Electronic Highway network.
The integration introduces a highly sophisticated technology layer into NHEV’s integrated e-highway infrastructure. By leveraging Netradyne’s AI-driven platform, the initiative aims to transform long-distance electric mobility beyond basic charging into a safer, more connected, and operationally reliable system across nationwide EV corridors.
Phased Deployment and Operational Impact:
Under this collaborative framework, Netradyne’s AI solutions will be deployed in a phased manner across connected commercial vehicles operating on NHEV-supported corridors. This advanced integration will provide fleet operators with:
Real-time visibility: Delivering live tracking and comprehensive operational monitoring for commercial EVs across national routes.
Predictive risk detection: Utilizing advanced AI-vision to identify potential road hazards and vehicle distress early.
Driver behavior insights: Analyzing patterns to detect driver fatigue, coaching operators, and ensuring safer driving habits.
NHEV is currently driving a national vision to scale up connected and dependable electric mobility, with plans to expand its Electronic Highway network across 26 major highway corridors by 2027. Netradyne’s platform adds vital corridor-level operational oversight to make these long-distance routes commercially viable.
Building a Bankable and Secure EV Ecosystem:
“NHEV E-Highways are India’s preparedness-driven economic lifeline, ensuring that the movement of essential goods never stops whether during peacetime, lockdowns, or geopolitical oil crises,” said Abhijeet Sinha, Program Director of NHEV. He further emphasized that the partnership with Netradyne strengthens the electronic layer needed to gain the confidence of the commercial freight sector, making the network operationally dependable, bankable, and scalable.
Durgadutt Nedungadi, Senior Vice President, EMEA & APAC-Business at Netradyne, highlighted the evolutionary scale of the project: “Our role is to provide real-time intelligence that improves driver safety, fleet visibility and operational responsiveness across these E-Highways. By enabling early detection of driver fatigue, unsafe behaviour and vehicle distress, we can help reduce road risk.”
Policy Alignment and Corporate Overview:
Beyond immediate fleet operations, this initiative will provide real-world data and policy recommendations to the Group of Transport Experts (GTE). These insights will contribute directly to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) vision of establishing an Apex Transport Authority and fostering the convergence of transport, telecom, and digital infrastructure across India.
