Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced a major milestone in its technological advancement on August 10, 2026, in Gurugram, reporting more than 0.8 million connected vehicles currently on Indian roads. Powered by an extensive ecosystem built on 1.2 million lines of code, the company is actively targeting cumulative connected car sales of 1 million units by 2027, with a further goal to reach 2 million connected car sales by 2030.
Adoption rates across HMIL’s vehicle portfolio have climbed significantly since the launch of Hyundai Bluelink in 2019, surging from 4% penetration in 2019 to 20% in 2026. MD & CEO Tarun Garg emphasized that this growth mirrors shifting consumer expectations, noting that the upcoming mass-market electric SUV will feature next-generation connected tech as standard across all variants to merge connected and electric mobility.
